The Honor System and the Arena System, the two different subsets of World of Warcraft's PvP combat, have different venues of play and a different set of rewards.
Honor points and battleground marks of honor earned in various battlegrounds are used for buying honor rewards
while Arena points which originate from Arena team ratings are used for buying Arena rewards. Honor points are earned mainly in battlegrounds,GM Items WOW, while Arena points can only be earned by participating in Arena combat.
