There are just way too many ore spots and as a result, supply will overpower demand. Whenever the supply of an item surpasses the demand of that item, prices drop.
Unlike in Outlands and in Northrend, the ore and herb spawns in Cataclysm are extremely dense.This may seem cool at first, but the possibility of oversupply is going to be very real. Since there are so many ore and herb spawns in Cataclysm, the market will be completely saturated with ore within a few weeks of Cataclysm.
In one hour of playing on the beta, I was able to gather several hundred ElementiumOreand several hundred Heartblossom on the same character,Cheap WOW Gold!
